Welcome to STATS 67 - Introduction to Probability and Statistics for Computer Science in Fall 2025
Introduction to the basic concepts of probability and statistics with discussion of applications to computer science.
Prerequisite: Math 2B
By the end of this course you will be able to:
- summarize data using descriptive statistics and visualizations;
- select appropriate probability models and estimate models’ parameters;
- make conclusions about population using sample data, by applying statistical inference techniques;
- use R for basic probability and statistics tasks.
